About

I've never taken a photography class before. Somewhere in between junior and senior year of high school, I taught myself how to use a dSLR by reading blogs and looking up things I didn't know online. That was over a decade ago, and I haven't looked back since.

I'm a natural light portrait photographer inspired by nature, travel, and sunlight. I am saved by Grace.  I enjoy lattes and diving into a good book. My photography style is photojournalistic, full of light, and candid.

My philosophy in life and photography is this: Things don't need to be perfect or stiffly posed to look nice. Some of the best moments unfold when you've forgotten that the camera is even there. When you're comfortable enough to be real self. That's what I'm after. That's what I'm here to capture. That's why I do the work I do.

I've photographed countless portrait sessions in the last decade and I can't wait to be there for yours. It's a joy for me to spend my career photographing special moments and milestones so that you can have tangible memories to hold on to for years to come.

“You don't make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved.”
