I'm so excited to share Andrew and Kim's engagement photos today. I've known Andrew and Kim since high school. We got to know each other at youth group and church, and am thankful that we have been able to stay in touch over the last decade and more.
On a rare chilly day in Arizona, the three of us trekked through the open desert landscape, navigating prickly cacti in the process. Shooting a portrait session at Lost Dutchman had been on my bucket list for some time, and I'm glad that we were able to finally cross it off the list!
I asked Andrew to share with me a few words about how he and Kim met and here's what he sent me:
"Kimberly and I met for the first time at a Fourth of July picnic. Over the course of the next several months we became friends attending the same social events. We created a strong connection through sharing similar hardships in which both of our mothers became very sick in high school. We began dating shortly after and through the ups and downs, I have learned to appreciate Kimberly’s compassion towards others and also her patience in dealing with my stubbornness. She has been everything I have ever wanted in a partner and I am happy to continue sharing more experiences with her into the future."
I couldn't be more honored to capture these shots for Kim and Andrew. They are truly better together.
