I am so thankful for friends like these two. Hannah and David are the people I look up to and admire. David was one of my fellow classmates and colleagues in grad school. I'm not sure how I would have made it through my grad program without the camaraderie and support from people who were also going through the same difficult patches, facing similar obstacles or frustrations. A few months into our second year of the program, I met Hannah, who had just moved to Chicago from Australia after getting married to her long-time love, David. Hannah challenges me to think from other people's perspectives, as she constantly reminds me that to be here in the U.S. is just one country in the entire world. We're not the center, as we like to believe. Together, Hannah and David are a powerful team comprised of both their unique backgrounds and upbringings and perspectives. Together, they are better than they are apart. And they remind me that God is writing a good and beautiful story for all of us. Whether we can see if or not, God is faithful and writes a better story than we could ever imagine.
