Favorite Instagrams of 2016
It has become a tradition to recap my favorite Instagrams at the end of each year to reminisce on what places I visited, the highs and lows, and what I will carry with me going into a new year. Click here to see my favorite Instagrams of 2015.
Although this post is probably close to a year late, it's better late than never amiright! Without further ado:
From L to R:
1 - Looking out at the rays of sun shining on the top of Janss Steps, reflecting on how lucky and blessed I am to be at UCLA. A good reminder that though there are many hurdles to overcome and sometimes jump through, in light of eternity, an essay or a final is a rather small nuisance.
2 - Moran, Wyoming. Saying hi to one of the horses at the cabin we stayed at. He was so sweet and the owner was so kind in letting us get up close to his horses, whom he introduced to us all by name. A moment I will cherish forever.
3 - The Arizona State University campus is revamping its game with all these new, cool architecture features such as this "explore" sign on the roof of one of its buildings.
4 - Reading Ghettoside: A True Story of Murder in America was a highlight of 2016. The book challenged my thinking on why gun violence exists and the ways in which the criminal justice system is failing those who are most vulnerable. It was especially eye-opening since the story is set in Watts, Los Angeles, which is pretty close to my undergrad. I can't recommend this book enough.
5 - A beautiful sunset in Wyoming.
6 - Arizona cactuses never disappoint.
7 - Visiting the Getty for the first time calls for artsy shots of the artsy plants growing near the museum.
8 - I never realized that ASU could look like a scene out of a movie. Pretty rad.
9 - The Fox Theater in Westwood, CA will always be a place of memories, premieres, waiting in line at 11:50pm on a school night to see Captain America: Winter Soldier and countless other spectacular films. It's truly an icon of the UCLA experience.
What an awesome year it was!
