Wyoming Trip Part 1

This is part one of a series. Here's part two

grandeur: the quality of being very large and special or beautiful

I'm not a city girl at heart. Although I reside in LA most of the year, the quiet and still places are where I feel most at home.

Wyoming was a complete masterpiece. It was so wonderful, I could not have dreamed it up myself.

A small town (Jackson Hole, you were brilliant). A cabin in the middle of nowhere, yet planted amidst the most splendid surroundings I had ever seen. Scenic views along the highway. Wild animals roaming freely. Horses. A bazillion stars in the night sky, too many constellations to point out, and not enough time to savor it all.

Being with family.

Unplugging from the devices and the media and the noise.

Enjoying each others' presences and taking in all the grandeur that is God's handiwork.

There are few places in this world that will completely immerse you in its grandeur and wildness all at once. Wyoming, keep capturing people's hearts.

Till next time.

We arrived nice and early in the morning around 5am and proceeded to take photos until we couldn't keep our eyes open any longer. The coolest part was seeing the sun slowly rise as our cabin and surroundings came into view. Can't remember the last time I saw a sunrise.

Then it became morning and of course I went out to get some portraits. :)

We couldn't have had such a great stay if it weren't for Luton's Teton Cabins. We can't say enough good things about this place. And get this, Luton and his family built the cabin by themselves!

This was the view outside of our living room windows every single morning:
Grand Teton National Park
And the moment we were all waiting for, Old Faithful! This guy surely delivers exactly what he promises: every 91 minutes, Old Faithful would erupt in an impressive show of hot steam. Truly the star of the show.
Everybody gathered to see what all the fuss was about. While we waited patiently for Faithful, we did the wave. I don't think he was too entertained.
Pretty sure I spent a good fifteen minutes fascinated by this furry friend:
Looks like I wasn't the only one!

Look out for Part 2 - heading to the blog soon!
