I've always had a passion for fashion. I love reading about how to find your personal style, putting outfits together, capsule wardrobes, mixing and matching, and shopping on a budget. I regularly read style blogs to figure out how to spruce up my own wardrobe and find more contentment with fewer pieces.
Fashion Fridays has been a yearlong project with the Daily Bruin that was a perfect balance of photojournalism and fashion.
The basic gist of the project was to walk around campus each week and find people whose outfits were trendy and had a personal touch, and then have a brief interview with the students. We asked what brands they were wearing, where they got each piece and if there was a story behind it, and how they described their style. You learn so much about a person simply through giving out a compliment and chatting about fashion. Enjoy some of my favorites!
