Artist, Designer, and Vintage Market // Los Angeles, CA


One of my favorite things about flea markets is the atmosphere of freedom and creativity you feel there. Every item has its own unique story, whether it's a vintage leather bag, or a handmade greeting card. Each shopper thoughtfully peruses through troves of treasure, hoping to come away with hidden gems. I like to think of it as a welcome home party. 

It's not just your typical shopping trip; it's an experience of its own. 

This past quarter I got the chance to go to an Artists and Fleas market on assignment for the Daily Bruin. The market is set up in a lot in the art district of Downtown Los Angeles, open on every third weekend of the month. I had such a fun time enjoying the sights and sounds of the event with my camera as my trusty accomplice.

My favorite booth was this secondhand book shop called Brown Bag Books - I could have walked the aisles for hours. 
Even this fluffy little guy accompanying his owners was having a blast:
