Payson is about 2-3 hours north of where I live in Arizona, so it was a quick drive up to more chilly temperatures (compared to 110s) and absolute heaven for photographers. It was kind of like the best therapy you could imagine, except without the talking. #creationtherapy
Almost right after we arrived at our campsite, my brother, Jesse, found a piece of wood that looked, according to his imagination, like a machine gun. He gladly posed for these glamour shots.
My brother Joey took some pretty legit photos of me during our trip. What can I say, he's shaping up to be a pretty fine apprentice.
The morning we woke up at 5am, I felt so creative. It was magical, just experiencing the morning breeze and hearing the birds chirp their good-mornings to one another. Many of the photos I took that early morning made it in this blog post. A change of scenery and of the time you wake up can dramatically change the way you photograph and see the world.
The 5am morning also gifted this beautiful view to me:
I thought it was the sun at first. But nope! It was the moon in all of her glory.
Never did I ever go so crazy over seeing the moon in the sky. This was one of those shining moments I'll always remember in my life. It was God's fingerprints over every little detail.
Ghetto teeth brushing with a glass cup and toothpaste remnants around the lips, check.
Let's end with a storybook scene of the forest that we called our backyard. So picturesque and so brilliant.
