UCLA Bruin Day 2015 - post #1

In light of Bruin Day coming up this Saturday, I’m sharing some of my favorite photos I’ve taken around the UCLA campus on here each day leading up to the event. Get pumped! #bruinday

This week post's is a series of posts all devoted to Bruin Day festivities and the joys of portraiture. This is the first post.

Well what is Bruin Day anyways?

For those of you who might be unfamiliar with Bruin Day, it’s basically a time where the UCLA class of 2019 comes and gets acquainted with our campus in all of its beauty and opportunity. There is a victory bell set up in the plaza, and students get to ring it loud and proud after making the decision to enroll and become a Bruin for life. There are campus and housing tours, financial aid presentations, and loads of workshops on majors, minors, fiat luxes, honors programs, and you name it, we have it!

I know when I was a high school senior not too long ago and I came to UCLA for the first time in my life to experience Bruin Day festivities, I had already sent in my statement of intent to register. But the concept of actually being at the school for the first time, and seeing all the other admits learn about the campus and hearing Chancellor Block’s speech and watching a super epic video (about how the Internet was invented at UCLA, among other fine accomplishments) in newly remodeled Pauley Pavilion gave me the chills – I had finally found my home for the next four years, and I was confident God had brought me here for a specific purpose. I felt that I was making the right decision.

Check back for more photos in the next few days! I will be posting this entire week leading up the day itself.
