Youth Camp 2014
Way back in the month of June I served as a counselor at an inter-church youth camp held at Pine Valley Bible Conference Center in San Diego, CA. The night before all the counselors left for San Diego, my friend JD asked me if I was bringing my camera. I honestly said no because I didn't want to have carry my dSLR around and worry about it getting damaged or dirty.
At youth camp, the campers are split between junior high and high school, and apparently I was the only person counseling in high school who took pictures and had a fancy camera. So JD convinced (guilt-tripped) me into bringing my camera, and, boy, was I glad I did.
I was so inspired by all the greenery and how the sun caught the leaves or branches in the most artistic way. California nature is truly very different from what we have here in Arizona. And it's good to be different - that's what inspires me as a photographer!

This picture reminds me of the conversations, jokes, laughs, and prayers we prayed for each other.
Good times, great people. Never regretted bringing my camera. :)
